QUINN WINS SEAT SUPERCUP ROUND 7
Having secured his first pole position of 2016 yesterday, Niall has backed it up with a convincing victory in round 7 at Mondello Park. Making a clean getaway, Niall was unchallenged from lights to flag, bringing home 10 points for the win, plus a bonus point for fastest lap.
A win in round 7 meant starting at the back of the reverse grid for race 2. Lining up P6, Niall made a scorching start to emerge from turn 1 in second position. Unfortunately, the red flags were to come out for a non-starting car, and the grid was reset. The second start was not so kind, having to take action to avoid a spinning car, he emerged from turn 1 in 6th position. Niall worked his way up to finish in 3rd position at the flag, netting his second double-podium in a row.
After rounds 7 and 8 Niall now lies in 3rd position in the championship, 9 points adrift of Erik Holstein.
Rounds 9 and 10 are to be held at the high-speed Kirkistown Race Circuit in Northern Ireland on the 27th of August.
