NIALL WINS AT KIRKISTOWN
Niall has continued his excellent form with a double podium at the high-speed Kirkistown race track. Qualifying on the front row for the third time this season, Niall made a quick getaway to lead the pack into Colonial on lap 1. After a brief battle for the lead, Niall was to bring the car home for his second win of the season.
In the reverse-grid race two, Niall made an excellent start to jump from 6th to 2nd off the line. Niall was able to pressure Holstein for the lead race-long, but ultimately a fuel pressure issue in the SEAT Leon would prevent him from mounting any real attack.
Taking his podium tally to 7 podiums from 8 races, Niall has closed the gap further to the championship leaders. Having missed rounds 3&4 at Bishopscourt, the gap is now 5 points to the leader.
The championship will conclude on the 17th & 18th of September on the International Circuit at Mondello Park.
